See you in January- AB

For some reason this year I haven’t really been in the christmas spirit, so I thought I would do something about it and get myself all winter-y, so I booked a slot at Cambridge on Ice!
If your like me and don’t head into Cambridge too often, then the first thing you’ll notice about the historic setting of Parkers Piece is that it is awash with people trying to get in on the ice skating action… but, you need to book in advance to make sure you get to skate!
All the skates are provided for you, and your guaranteed a minimum of 45 minutes on the rink, however, the weather may get the better of you, as they open no matter what!
Prices start at £4 for kids and £8.95 for adults… and going by last year, it should be great fun and give me all the christmas cheer I need to get out and finish the present shopping!!
Check out www.cambridgeonice.co.uk for more times and prices.

Newmarket’s annual late night shopping returns this Wednesday the 3rd December for a whole host of festive fun and extravagance.
Santa will be making an appearance, riding his sleigh down the high street, before taking a bit of time out and inviting visitors into his grotto to share their Christmas wishes, and amongst other entertainment the Newmarket town band will be on hand with Scaltback Middle School singing some carols and generally making everyone feel Christmassy!!
There will of course be the other usual activites: Fair ground rides, charity fund raising, food stalls and as always the shops will be open until 9pm to get all your christmas shopping done.
This years late night shopping will be one not to miss out on as it is bigger and better than ever, with rides, stalls and entertainment spreading into the Market square and the Guineas aswell as the high street We’ll be there supporting the local businesses and hope that it’s going to be bustling with Christmas cheer.
